Stars flocked to New York City's Radio City Music Hall last night for the 67th annual Tony Awards.
The evening, which recognizes excellence in Broadway theater, saw A-listers from Sally Field to Sigourney Weaver in attendance. Although the feel-good musical "Kinky Boots" cleaned up, winning six awards including Best Musical, we couldn't help but focus on all our attention on the red carpet fashion.
We were pleasantly surprised by Scarlett Johansson's little black dress by Saint Laurent (it's so nice to see her in something demure rather than overtly sexy), while Jane Krakowski shone, literally, in a silver Escada gown.
But for all the good, there was some bad. Anna Kendrick's strapless navy dress left little to be desired (the cut-out and the draping did not flatter), but it was really Laura Osnes' rosette-embellished gown that left us scratching our heads.
Of course, the night wouldn't be complete without a dramatic dress that involved all the theatrics Broadway is known for, and that's exactly what Cicely Tyson's gown delivered (could it really be the Tony Awards sans a purple satin ruffle dress?).
