Tony Hawk's Sentimental Farewell

Tony Hawk has been a household name, since inspiring 90s teens into kneecap smashing escapades that few will ever regret.

In a recently released video, Hawk shows a sentimental side as he bids farewell to his very first skateboard. “Bearings that are nearly 40 years old are pretty slow, but at least it stayed in one piece,” Hawk is quoted in the caption for the video.

The skateboard will now live at The Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. Hawk donated the board to Innoskate, Smithsonian program that focuses on the history and culture of skateboarding.
