The month of November signals changes in our environment. November gives birth to the great migration. Like the herds of the African elephant we begin our long journey -- Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas and finally New Years.

The holidays are simply a wonderful time to spend with family and friends. This is not to say that the holidays don't bring with it a certain level of stress. For many of us that stress begins on Black Friday -- the unofficial start of the Christmas shopping season. This is when we go armed with a shopping list and pen -- in attempt to take advantage of the early sales.

I predict that -- the
, the
, the
and even the
will be on many shopping lists this holiday season. I also have an additional recommendation -- well actually 10 additional recommendations. If you happen to have a few thousand dollars just lying around -- my friends at
have put together a really cool list of expensive gifts:
  1. Star Trek Original Series Captain's Chair Replica, $5,500
  2. Star Wars Millennium Falcon Resin Statue, $2,485
  3. Batman 1989 Batmobile Limited Edition Replica, $2,000
  4. Steiff Studio Lion Plush Lifesize Replica, $4,000
  5. Michael Jordan Signed Basketball, $1,500
  6. Peanuts Snoopy 31-Inch Limited Edition Plush, $890
  7. Star Wars Yoda Lifesize Replica, $700
  8. Exclusive Nightmare Before Christmas Statue Set, $600
  9. Iron Man 2 Tony Stark Mark V Briefcase Replica, $430
  10. The Simpsons Yellow Album Hand Painted Cel, $1,667
My absolute favorite gift would be the Capitan's Chair. This is the description from Entertainment Earth:

Star Trek Original Series Captain's Chair Replica, $5,500

This full-size, set-accurate reproduction of Captain Kirk's command chair is hand crafted to the standards of the original by HMS Creative Productions for Roddenberry. Complete with authentic sounds and all the lights and switches, it's sure to be the most talked about piece of furniture in your home or office for years to come.

Unfortunately, at a price tag of $5,500 I don't think I will see the Captain's Chair under my Christmas tree. What is your favorite gift on this list?
