Top Chef Izard Wants Picture Removed From Republican Ad

Chicago chef Stephanie Izard asked Republican Cook County Board member and state's attorney candidate Tony Peraica to stop using the Top Chef winner's photo in his campaign materials, the Sun-Times reports.

"She didn't approve her likeness to be used in any sort of Republican product," Izard's publicist told the paper, adding that the chef is a registered Democrat.

Izard's photo is featured in the logo for the public access show "What's Cookin' with the Republicans!" The show features a cooking segment in a local restaurant, like a Republican metropolitan water reclamation district candidate whipping up an omelette, followed by a Peraica-led roundtable with various Cook County Republicans.

The logo features Izard next to Peraica, who is wearing a chef's hat and wielding a spatula over an elephant-shaped grill.
