FEMEN, the feminist activist group known for its topless protests, crashed a demonstration by French far-right groups in Paris on Sunday. Carrying a banner that read "Sextermination For Nazism," four bare-chested activists also had the word "Sextermination" scrawled across their torsos.

France 24 reports French far-right groups had gathered in Paris to mark Joan of Arc day, adding that the medieval heroine has become a symbol for far-right groups in France, including Marine Le Pen's National Front.

According to HuffPost France, the topless protesters appeared on a fourth-floor balcony of a building of Place des Pyramides in central Paris. Crowds reacted angrily, yelling, "FEMEN whores!" and "FEMEN Die!"

The women were escorted off the balcony by fire fighters after about half an hour.

On its Facebook page, FEMEN said it sprayed white smoke as a symbol of cleaning up Europe from right wing groups.

FEMEN was founded in Ukraine in 2008 to protest discrimination against women in the Easter European country. The group has steadily branched out in recent years, establishing a European headquarters in Paris and targeting women's rights issues worldwide.

In recent weeks, the group made has headlines by appearing topless at a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin and crashing a talk by Belgian Archbishop Leonard in Brussels.
