Tori Spelling Calls Katie Holmes 'Plastic' In Her New Book

Tori Spelling Slams Katie Holmes As 'Plastic'

Tori Spelling blasted Katie Holmes in her new book, calling the former "Dawson's Creek" star "plastic" and "miserable."

The former "Beverly Hills: 90210" star made the comments in her new memoir, Spelling It Like It Is. Apparently, the two were friends (or at least friendly) back when they were on their respective teen TV series. They met through a mutual friend, and Spelling thought Holmes was "pretty adorable", according to an excerpt first obtained by RadarOnline.com.

But things changed a few years later when Spelling ran into Holmes (who apparently sings "horribly off-key") while preparing for 2012's "The Mistle-Tones." The two ran into each other outside the studio of Spellings' vocal coach, and apparently Holmes gave off a "don't even come close" vibe.

When Spelling attempted conversation by using the "mommy card," Holmes supposedly acted like she didn't even know Spelling had kids. “Then I was annoyed,” she wrote. “Come on. Okay, I know you're busy. But you’re in the public eye. Don’t tell me you don’t follow the tabloids. Don’t tell me you don’t know anything about other celebrities and their kids."

(Suri Cruise was born in 2006; Spelling's eldest son, Liam Aaron, was born in 2007.)

She was just plastic. In a perfectly polite way," Spelling wrote.

"I was sweating. My pits were drenched," she continued, in a quote obtained by The Huffington Post. "I never sweat. It was that awkward. I thought, I know you’re not a robot because you can’t sing for shit. (Oh my God, I’m a mean person.) As my anxiety faded, I just felt sorry for her. I hadn’t expected her to reminisce, but this was a totally different person from the girl I’d met at Trader Vic’s. I felt sad for her. Those paparazzi photos, the ones where she looks like she’s miserable but putting on a happy face? That’s what she looked like in person.”

Shortly after that run-in, "The Giver" star announced she and then-husband Tom Cruise had split.

It's doubtful Spelling will be apologetic about calling Holmes "plastic."

In her memoir, which is on shelves now, Spelling not only dishes dirt about others celebs, but also about herself. The 40-year-old revealed she and husband Dean McDermott have been dealing with financial setbacks recently. She apparently hasn't bought a handbag in years; her children wear hand-me-down clothes and McDermott couldn't afford to get a vasectomy.
