It's a sad, sad day in Toronto.

The morning after the Maple Leafs' season ended in gut-wrenching fashion, the Toronto Sun's sports page captured the disappointing ending with a photo of goaltender James Reimer laying face-down on the ice after giving up the series-winning goal in overtime.

The Maple Leafs held 4-1 lead with 11 minutes left of Game 7 at TD Garden. With just 90 seconds left, they led 4-2. But that wasn't enough as Boston's Milan Lucic and Patrice Bergeron scored in the final minute and a half, respectively, to send the game into overtime. Bergeron netted the game-winner 6:05 into the extra session sending the Bruins into the second round and Maple Leafs fans stunned.

“It’s just … I feel empty. I don’t even know what to say,” Ethan Lowe, a 17-year-old Maple Leafs fan, told The Toronto Star.
