'Trance' Trailer: Danny Boyle's Art Heist Thriller Shows You Its Black Swan (VIDEO)

WATCH: Oscar Winner Unveils AWESOME New Trailer

Danny Boyle won an Oscar for directing "Slumdog Millionaire," but "Trance," his latest film, doesn't even have an official U.S. release date. Which is confusing, especially after watching the totally fantastic "Trance" trailer.

The gist, via IMDb: an art auctioneer (James McAvoy of "X-Men" fame) gets mixed up with a thief (Vincent Cassel of "Black Swan" fame), misplaces a stolen painting, and tries to find it using the help of a "hypnotherapist" (Rosario Dawson).

The trailer is a wham-bam mind eff, complete with explosions and more than a few sneers from Cassel, the King of Sneers. (Never forget: "Show me your black swan, Nina!") In an interesting twist, Cassel played an art thief before, in "Ocean's 12." ("He is Moretti.")

Watch the "Trance" trailer above. The film is out in the U.K. on March 27 and awaits U.S. distribution.
