Mark Wahlberg shines as The Last Knight
On its exterior, Transformers The Last Knight is big, loud, and hypnotic with its realistic special effects of bad ass cars that transform into kick ass robots.
On its interior, Transformers is a spellbinding human story that boldly weaves medieval history with futuristic-and current-issues: Separation of the species. Fight for survival. Betrayal. And a fallen hero.
Amid the chaos, there’s a sweet budding romance between “failed inventor” Cade Yaeger (Mark Wahlberg) and the sophisticated Vivian Wembley (Laura Haddock) that truly warms the heart.
In the end, mankind and machine must coexist if Earth is to survive.
Bottom line: See this film; director Michael Bay delivers the bang for your buck. Wahlberg flashes his abs; and the Transformers will give fans of the genre more of what they’ve come to expect.
