The Risks Of Being Transgender In The U.S. Military

Bryce Celotto joined HuffPost Live Sept. 6 to discuss being transgender while serving in the U.S. military.

"The military is something that was always really important to me and something I always really wanted to do," Celotto, who enlisted in the Army National Guard after high school, said. "Ironically enough, it was my military police training that brought out the gender dysphoria because everything in the military is so gender segregated."

Regardless of the career risks he faces, Celotto said he's received "great" support from his military colleagues since his transition.
