Porcupine Fish Is Trapped In A Net, But BFF Won't Leave His Side

Awwwww!

It's a friendship that's making waves around the world.

A video posted by Core Sea shows a porcupine fish ensnared in a net in Chaloklum Bay, Thailand. But this fish isn't alone.

There's a fishy friend nearby who won't leave the trapped pal -- even as a human approaches.

The fish in the net puffs up in case the person is a threat, but it's just the opposite: The friendly human uses a piece of glass to free the fish while the porcupine pal keeps close watch:

Barbara J. King, an anthropology professor at the College of William and Mary, writes for NPR that she suspects the fish are a male and female, but hasn't been able to confirm.

Eventually, the net is broken up and the two fishy friends swim off.

When's the Disney movie coming out?
