Being filled with holiday spirit can be hard work. After all, we are in the midst of cocktail parties, work soirees and family gatherings galore. With friends and family constantly on their smart phones and social media sites, we already know holiday pictures will be plastered everywhere. Not only do we need to carefully consider holiday fashions and skincare, but the perfect accessory to any LBD you're wearing this season is definitely holiday nails! (We know you’ve seen #HolidayNails trending!)

Since busy schedules can easily wreak havoc on our nails, (which we’ve heard is a leading contributor to the holiday blues,) we went straight to the nail magicians at M3V The Nail Bar in Phoenix, AZ. Founder and owner of M3V, Tracy VanBibber, has relayed to us the top 5 holiday nail trends for the season. (You will thank us later.)

1. It’s All About the Dip - There is a resurgence of dipping systems this Holiday Season. During the busy holiday season, this glue & acrylic powder technology takes half the time of the acrylic fill & full set brush & cure method, plus if you use a colored dipping powder than it elevates the need for polish - another time saver! The end result looks natural and it is durable! Tracy says, “It is not sanitary to double dip clients nails into powder. I highly recommend single-dipping systems or pour powder options. Sanitization has to be a #1 priority for you and your nails.”

2. Shiny Disco Balls - You can match the shiniest ornaments on your tree with chrome nails! Pinterest reports Chrome Nail searches are up a whopping 570% - they are all the rage, and rightfully so! You get a long lasting shine with a rainbow of colors to choose from. Most popular is Rose Gold, Holographic Nails and the Silver Mirror effect, but the options seem to be endless for this so-stylish holiday trend.

3. The More the Merrier - This nail trend has less to do about the actual service and more to do with the experience. It is so on trend (and great for multitasking) to have family and friend pedicure parties over the Holidays. You relax, catch-up and chat while being pampered together! Tracy adds, “More and more, we see groups coming to up-scale, chic salons to take in an experience together vs the ‘old’ version of ‘I have to go twice a week - ugh’ mentality.” Also a great gift idea!

4. Ombre Everywhere - Ombre is not just for your hair! In fact, a very popular nail option is ombre glitter fade nails! It fits in with the “All that Glitters” trends we see with glitter eye shadows, glitter face powders, body glitter lotions... why not nails too?! This is what I opted for when I visited M3V The Nail Bar. The extra sparkles (shown below) on my nails (and toes) have definitely beed a game changer! #obsessed

5. Effortless Beauty - It is traditional yet hip to have natural nude nails. It’s also one less thing to worry about since natural nude nails go with everything! Whether it is sheer pink, flesh tones or pink-y beige - natural nails brighten and enhance your nails while still letting them show through. For a fresh, clean and soft Holiday look this season go natural!
