Trevor Noah Explains Why Donald Trump Is Really 'The Dress'

"We're all trying to figure out what the hell it is."

You remember, The Dress, right? The world couldn’t agree on its colors, sending the internet into a tizzy.

Trevor Noah summed up the ridiculousness of Donald Trump and his catalog of outrageous comments perfectly when he compared the GOP presidential candidate to the famous dress on “The Daily Show” Wednesday night.

Noah spoke out over Trump’s supposedly jokey and ― as some commentators have said ― sinister call for Second Amendment supporters to take action against his Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton. The comedian turned his attention to that damn dress at around the 3:30 mark in his 10-minute segment on Trump (above).

“Every time Donald Trump speaks, it’s The Dress,” Noah said. “We’re all trying to figure out what the hell it is. And no one can agree, which is entertaining for an Instagram meme but it’s not good for a commander-in-chief.”

Noah later noted that the problem is that the businessman is really just a standup comedian in need of an audience that gets his shtick.

“We were all spending so much time focusing on his racism and sexism and xenophobia and threats to democracy that we missed all the jokes,” he said.
