In an era of sweeping progress for gay rights both nationally and internationally, the LGBT community is becoming more free and, therefore, more openly diverse. Sectors of the community that were formerly on the fringes are now becoming more mainstream than ever, as evidenced by the overwhelmingly positive response to Caitlyn Jenner's debut. But as new terms evolve for describing one's sexuality, where does that leave words like "lesbian" or "gay," which once seemed appropriately all-encompassing?
