Truck Crumples Under Low Bridge In Binghamton, N.Y. (VIDEO)

WATCH: Truck vs. Low Bridge -- Guess Which Wins

Truck drivers in upstate New York don't seem to realize that they've gotten too big for their bridges.

For the third time in two months in Binghamton, a truck collided with a railroad overpass and got stuck, causing traffic backups, TV station WBNG reported.

On Tuesday, a 13-feet, 6-inches tall tractor trailer crumpled when it rammed into the bridge with an11 feet, 11 inches clearance. The accident damaged three Volkswagons and an Audi in the trailer that were supposed to be delivered to an auto dealership 100 yards from the overpass, The Press & Sun-Journal reported.

The bridge's height was posted on signs, news reports said, so authorities said they wanted to know why the driver attempted to pass under the railroad tracks.

Unlike the truck and its cargo, the bridge wasn't damaged, WBNG said.
