HBO Schedules 'True Blood,' 'The Newsroom' For June

Fans of "True Blood" will be able to sink their teeth into new episodes starting Sun., June 10 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.

Based on Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse books, "True Blood" returns for a Season 5 with all your old favorites, like Sookie (Anna Paquin), Bill (Stephen Moyer), Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), and new faces including former "Law & Order: SVU" star Christopher Meloni. Aaron Sorkin's "The Newsroom" kicks off Sun., June 24 at 10 p.m. ET. The show follows a cable news anchor (Jeff Daniels), his new executive producer (Emily Mortimer) and his staff (Dev Patel, Olivia Munn, John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill and Thomas Sadoski). "Law & Order's" Sam Waterston plays the boss and Jane Fonda co-stars as a Ted Turner-esque character. Sorkin is executive producing the show with Scott Rudin and Alan Poul.
