Truman Capote's Home Sells For $12M (PHOTOS)

The Brooklyn Heights house where Truman Capote wrote "Breakfast At Tiffany's" has sold for $12M, the Daily New reports.

The 1839 house, which was originally listed at $18 million, features 11 bedrooms, a 2,500-square-foot garden and a massive wine cellar.

The yellow house on Willow Street was on the market for two years, and even with its price dip the sale price actually makes it the most expensive single-family home ever sold in Brooklyn Heights. From the News:

The previous record for a Brooklyn single-family house was $11 million for a house also in the Heights. The median house price in the borough is $454,383.

The New York Public Library has a great pic of the house from 1936 (look at that car out front!) just to give you a sense of the structure's historical value.
