It’s been said that President Trump had a hand in co-writing the American Healthcare Act, the Republican replacement for Obamacare, but now seems to be backing away from his role.

In an interview with Fox NewsTucker Carlson, he asked the president what he thinks about the criticism that the new health care bill would mostly help rich investors and hurt most lower and middle income Americans.

The president can be heard saying “I know,” in response to Carlson. Trump also kept repeating, “It’s very preliminary, it’s very preliminary,” but the Republicans are very proud of the bill, so there is something going on.

President Trump may not want to be responsible for this awful health care bill, despite playing an active role in formulating it. This continues the president’s motivation to get something done until it causes him backlash.
