Florida GOP Official Denies That Trump Was Left Off Ballots

The ballots include "all candidates," said Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner.

Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner on Tuesday refuted Donald Trump's claim that his name was missing from GOP primary ballots in Florida.

Detzner, a Republican appointed by Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R), assured voters in a tweet Tuesday afternoon that presidential ballots across the state have the names of every candidate who registered by the Dec. 15, 2015, deadline -- including Trump, the GOP front-runner.

Trump did not cite any examples or sources for the allegation that he leveled against the Florida GOP, which he broadcast to his nearly 7 million Twitter followers Tuesday.

Publicizing rumors and vague allegations has become a signature move for Trump, who just this week claimed that a protester who'd tried to jump onto his stage at an Ohio rally had ties to the Islamic State militant group.

Trump tweeted a hoax video Saturday that purported to establish a link between the protester, Thomas DiMassimo, and ISIS. When NBC's Chuck Todd asked Trump about the hoax video the following day, the billionaire responded that "supposedly there was chatter about ISIS."

"All I know is what’s on the Internet," Trump said.

Detzner on Tuesday also posted an image of his official signed ballot certification, which includes Trump's name (below).

The reality TV star is a highly visible part-time resident of Florida, so it's unlikely his name would have been omitted by an oversight. It's true, however, that Trump's name appears last on the alphabetical list of GOP candidates, below several people -- like Jeb Bush, Lindsey Graham and Rick Santorum -- who have already exited the race, so the placement is not as prominent as it could be.

Editor's note: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S.
