My first thought when faced with the fact that Donald Trump was running for president was, "He would be even worse than the spoiled-brat-bully who runs North Korea...he would push the nuclear button rather than just threatening to do it!"

He appears to have a hair-trigger anger mechanism and to strike-out at all who might oppose him. We do not want such a person in charge of our nation!

I've avoided watching more than a few seconds of this crude and insensitive billionaire clown's performances on the news. I've been thoroughly insulted by his misogyny and his ethnic slurs. It appears that -- to him -- no woman is "worthy of life" unless she is servicing his body... and he changes wives often.

What I've gleaned from the few glances I've taken is that he believes "he is the only important person in the world." Well, he might include his daughter, with whom he said -- on camera -- he would like to have sex. What?

It has become an American tradition for presidential candidates to release their tax returns. Despite the fact that all others have, he refuses to. It makes me wonder what he has to hide.

My doctorate is in philosophy of communication. One thing I learned during research is that when people say hateful things to anyone (or a group) that person is projecting hate-of-self. So folks, this hate he's spewing is all about him; this is how he deals with it. Let's not let him use it to control the American people!

We must all pay attention to what Donald is doing and saying.

I cannot understand why any sane person would vote for him. He has trashed women, minorities, Muslims, the poor, the mentally and physically impaired, veterans who "let themselves be captured in wars," and the list goes on. He has absolutely no experience in government, yet his outsized ego tells him he can serve in our highest government office.

I recently watched a news clip on The Rachel Maddow Show (5-27-16) in which Donald's press agent announced that his client "sees himself as Chairman of the Board -- not as CEO." This means he doesn't want to do ALL of the presidential duties -- he would pick only those he might enjoy. He would hire others to do the rest.

On TV he indicates he would rush to war, bombing Iraqi oil fields; he tries to damage wonderful women by calling them stupid names; he blames Hillary Clinton for Bill's behavior; he insults an entire nation; and so forth.

I Googled "Trump Quotes" and found millions of sources. The man loves to talk about himself and his prejudices. Check them yourself. I offer a sampling to illustrate the candidate's character and ethics:

"You know, it really doesn't matter what the media write as long as you've got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass."

"The point is, you can never be too greedy."

"My IQ is one of the highest -- and you all know it! Please don't feel so stupid or insecure; it's not your fault."

"I will build a great wall...and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words."

"It's freezing and snowing in New York-we need global warming!"

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending the best...they're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with us (sic). They're bringing drugs. They're bring crime. They're rapists..."

(Team Marie Claire, "29 of the most outrageous Donald Trump quotes," 5-11-16).

"Do you mind if I sit back a little? Because your breath is very bad--it really is." -- To Larry King, on air, 1989

"In the second grade I actually gave a teacher a black eye -- I punched my music teacher because I didn't think he knew anything about music and I almost got expelled." -- The Art of the Deal, 1987

(Meghan DeMaria, "Donald Trump Calls Elizabeth Warren Ineffective," 5-26-16)

So we have a very crude wealthy man who wants the prestige, but not the tedium of the Presidency and who uses his power to control others. He has a hair-trigger temper and seemingly speaks without thinking. When he was two, this privileged elite hit his music teacher but was not expelled from school. Apparently daddy's money and power protected him.

Who is going to protect the American people?

Why would anyone want this candidate--who has never been denied anything and who harms people physically and verbally on a whim--to run our nation?

Do you want your children to learn how to act by watching this self-serving politician glorify greed, bigotry, and misogyny?

Think hard before you vote for this candidate!

Vote to preserve America, our citizens...and our democracy!
