GOP Alarm Over Trump Hits New High

Donald Trump’s recent front-page campaign blunders have rocked Republican officials, who fear he’s permanently damaged his presidential bid by waging petty personal battles rather than attacking Hillary Clinton and the Democrats.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus was “apoplectic” at Trump’s decision not to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan in his primary election, NBC News reported Wednesday. The network also said top Republicans were planning an “intervention” with the candidate to steer him back on message, but Trump Campaign Manager Paul Manafort denied any such effort was under way.
