Trump Supporters Tweet #RepealThe19th After Poll Shows He'd Win If Only Men Voted

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse...

Donald Trump supporters just reared their ugly, misogynistic heads yet again.

On Tuesday evening, FiveThirtyEight published two polls showing what the outcome of the presidential election would look like if only women voted and what it would look like if only men voted. As you may have guessed, the outcome of the election would be very different if only one gender could vote.

According to FiveThirtyEight if only women voted in the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton would win the presidency with 458 electoral votes and Trump a mere 80.

If only men voted in the presidential election, Trump would win the election with 350 electoral votes and Clinton only 188.

(Terrifying? Yes. Disappointing? Absolutely. Makes you question how many men in your life think you’re less-than because you’re a lady? BRB, crying.)

Shortly after FiveThirtyEight’s editor-in-chief Nate Silver tweeted the two polls, Trump supporters began responding to the news with the hashtag #RepealThe19th. The 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote, was ratified less than 100 years ago.

The hashtag was trending on Twitter Wednesday afternoon and received hundreds of tweets. Scroll below to read some of the truly abhorrent and scary tweets from Trump supporters asking to take away a woman’s right to vote.

The one silver-lining to this insanity? The hilarious response from other Twitter users who pointed out that the hashtag was ridiculous and offensive.

So, basically:

Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.

Election Day is Nov. 8. Get registered to vote here or follow instructions below.
