Since assuming office, Donald Trump is not letting a day pass without issuing a controversial decision. He signed an executive order pulling the US out of Trans-Pacific Partnership, another to move forward with the construction of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines. He then signed an executive order to start construction of the wall with Mexico and forced Mexican president to cancel his visit to Washington after saying that if (Mexico): is "unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting." The cherry on the top was his executive order banning refugees and people from 7 countries of Muslim-majority from entering the United States.Almost all of his orders sparked outrage and protests around the globe, but perhaps that’s exactly why we should thank him.
Our world became plagued with unprecedented political divisiveness leading to leap in hate crimes, racism and xenophobia, however the solidarity many people showed in the aftermath of Trump’s infuriating orders should restore our faith in humans who are willing to come together and support those in need from any nationality, race or religion.
