TV One 'R&B Divas': Network Responds To Nicci Gilbert-Daniels Rumors

Is There Friction Among 'R&B Divas' Cast?

Say it ain’t so, a show about divas is experiencing friction amongst its cast? Well, according to Radar Online a source revealed earlier this week that producers of TV One’s “R&B Divas” were in the process of dropping co-star Nicci Gilbert-Daniels, prior shooting its second season, due to her erratic behavior on the set.

"Despite doing interviews with her whole message of positivity, Nicci was a terror to work with on the show," the source told the gossip site. "Publicly, she says she wanted this show to be the anti-Housewives, but privately her actions made her a fit for Oxygen's Bad Girls Club."

Despite the source adding that TV One would be willing to "just pay her a producer credit and cancel her talent contract," the network has issued a statement saying that the former Brownstone member will continue to be a “professional partner.”

As the most watched original premiere in TV One's history, the network is pleased with the cast and success of R&B Divas and has no plans to modify the show at this time. Co-executive producer and talented cast member Nicci Gilbert-Daniels has been and continues to be a model professional partner.

The singer’s rumored departure comes a week after the debut of the show which brought in nearly 900,000 viewers.
