Recently, we at StudentDebtCrisis.org nominated Representative John Kline for Bill Maher's #FlipADistrict campaign, which aims to find the worst representative in the country and oust them from office. On his show, Real Time, Maher is calling on viewers to take to social media to nominate and vote for the worst members of Congress. According to the Real Time blog, once the "worst" member of Congress has been decided, "we will spend the year periodically looking at the district, meeting the entrenched incumbent, introducing his fresh-faced challenger, getting to know the people they want to serve, and generally doing our level best to flip that district."

This past Friday, Maher announced that due to our Twitter campaign, Representative John Kline shot from number 75 on the list of worst members of Congress, to the number one spot! And why are people voting him as the worst? As Maher so succinctly puts it, "Kline didn't just oppose the Student Loan Forgiveness Act, he actually wrote a bill to reduce the budget deficit by raising rates on student loans."

Continue the momentum by taking to Twitter and voting to #FireKline and #FlipADistrict!
