Northern-Irish indie rock band Two Door Cinema Club is back with their third album Gameshow, but for a while it seemed questionable if a third record would ever be made. After the success of their sophomore album Beacon (2012), and the seemingly endless touring-cycle that followed, the mentally and physically exhausted band members slowly began to drift apart. "If we didn't have to be there we wouldn't. We'd do the job but apart from that we'd go to our hotel rooms and lock the door, or go out to the bar, but never with each other. We we're always trying to escape the band."
