At last year's ALMA Awards, Tyler Posey said he hadn't seen Jennifer Lopez in the 11 years since he starred as her son, Ty, in the 2002 rom-com "Maid in Manhattan." (He was, however, invited to her birthday party once, but he couldn't make it.)
That changed at Sunday's Teen Choice Awards. Lopez was on hand to present an award, giving Posey, who co-hosted the show with Sarah Hyland, the opportunity to surprise his former movie mama.
"I know we haven't seen each other since 'Maid in Manhattan,' which was forever ago," the 22-year-old "Teen Wolf" star said after hugging Lopez. "But I thought that maybe if you needed a backup dancer, I'd fit. What do you think?"
Posey has come a long way since 2002, when "Maid in Manhattan" and "Collateral Damage" launched his career. (Except for the jeans he's wearing in the photo below. Thank goodness those changed.) Lopez, on the other hand, doesn't look a day older. Here they are at the movie's December 2002 premiere.
The mother-son reunion continued well into the night, with enough time for Posey to trade in his shirt for a coconut bra. Because how else does one celebrate with a distant maternal figure?
