Tyra Banks proves that true "smizing" comes from within.
On Wednesday the 41-year-old supermodel posted a makeup-free, unretouched photo on her Instagram, along with a lengthy caption explaining her decision to post the hyper-low-maintenance look.
The "America's Next Top Model" host embraced the potential backlash of uploading the picture. "Maybe you're thinking, 'Whoa, she looks ROUGH,'" she wrote in the caption. "And if you are, great! You deserve to see the REAL me. The REALLY real me. #RawAndReal."
Banks, who hosted the Daytime Emmy Awards earlier this year, often talks about evolving style trends and female confidence. In a 2014 op-ed published in the Wall Street Journal, Banks wrote about her view of the future of beauty, saying that, "In general, I believe, traditional beauty will be less valuable -- and more uniqueness will be heralded."
