Ugliest House In America Contest Includes Chicago, Dallas, New Jersey, Boston, Richmond, And... Denver

Ugliest House Contest 2011: Does Denver Have What It Takes? (VOTE)

Every city in America has some ugly homes. Or at least, as some say, houses with "character." But is there a city with the absolute ugliest? The company behind those ubiquitous (and equally ugly) "we buy ugly houses" yard-signs is attempting to find out. While the competition currently only includes six cities, and at this point it seems more a contest of cleanliness than aesthetics, there's a small part of us hoping Denver can land the title.

The contest runs through July 22, with the winner receiving a $500 gift certificate to Home Depot. The event sponsors noted in a statement sent to HuffPost that "Most of the houses nominated have since been rehabbed and transformed into lovely homes."
