The 2009 Ford Ironman World Championship's kicked off unofficially today with the annual "Underpants Run," an opportunity for these uber-athletes to blow of some steam before the challenge of Saturday's World Championships of 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run. The 1750 athletes come from over 46 states and 50 countries to test their mettle with the best of the sport.
