More than 650 million people around the world lack access to clean water. You can help change that with a simple act: putting down your phone.

UNICEF's Tap Project uses a phone's internal motion sensor to monitor activity. For every 5 minutes that users stay off their devices, the organization will donate 1 day's worth of clean water. You can access the Tap Project site on your phone, and the initiative runs until the end of March.
