She didn't see this coming!

This dad-to-be planned a proposal so sweet, it might just make you cry like a baby.

On May 7, Louis Bruno took his pregnant girlfriend Lorenza Pardo by surprise when he popped the question during their maternity photo shoot in Delray Beach, Florida.

The couple of five years, who lives in St. Petersburg, Florida, is expecting their first child together on August 24. Bruno worked with photographer Kevin Cucci of artCimages Photography to orchestrate the surprise.

The couple had always planned to get married one day. But between work and a baby on the way, a proposal just wasn't at the forefront of Pardo's mind.

"I set them up standing back-to-back," Cucci told The Huffington Post. "Then I gave [Bruno] the signal to pull the ring out."

In that moment, Pardo said she was flooded with emotions. And then came the waterworks.

"I was trying to concentrate on every word he said, but truthfully, I was in such a shock that I don't remember a thing!" she told HuffPost. "I was just waiting for him to say the words so that I could respond, 'Yes!' And I don't think I stopped looking at the ring for the rest of the shoot -- or at all, for that matter!"

"So many emotions! So many tears! It was truly perfect. Every part of that moment was better than I could have imagined," Pardo said.

Both Bruno and Pardo are teachers in the process of getting their master's degrees. They first met as Psychology majors at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.

"His name was called right before mine at graduation and he turned around and gave me a kiss right on stage before getting his diploma," Pardo said. "We got along right away, especially over our love for the New York Giants."

The baby will be named Louis Juan -- a.k.a. LJ. Right now, the couple is focusing on the arrival of the baby and plans to get married in the fall of 2017. And they already know who the ring bearer will be -- their son L.J.

"We have both always wanted to get married in the fall -- outdoors with trees changing colors in the background," Pardo said.
