Uplifting Content

Today, we have access to more information at the touch of our fingertips than presidents and the world’s biggest corporations had just 20 years ago.

With the development of social media, there are more people sharing and creating content than ever before.

In just a few years, we’re expected to have another 3 billion people join the Internet.

With all these users and all the information that’ll be freely available, there’s a calling for a major upgrade on the quality of content that’s getting published.

Truthfully, we really need it.

Most of the people I know don’t watch the news or even own a television.

Why?

Because the information that’s constantly broadcasted and bombarded on most news networks majority of the time is not exactly inspiring.

In fact, watching the news too long will probably make you feel like you need that new anti-depressant drug that’s advertised in between news breaks.

Perhaps this is why a growing majority of people choose to consume information through social media, blogs and through their mobile phones.

I myself do as well, and I’m glad to know that there are thriving Facebook pages like Unified Soul Theory, recently rebranded as Uplifting Content, that broadcast high quality content that highlights the beautiful aspects of life.

I first stumbled upon the page when I was scrolling down my newsfeed on Facebook and saw that Prince EA shared a post of theirs.

The Facebook page had a very similar tone as Prince EA's messages - promoting love, kindness, growth, joy, gratitude, abundance, humanity, soul, unity.

Immediately, I liked their page and stayed in the loop with them for months.

Throughout those months, I saw them rapidly grow their audience, along with the reach of their beautiful messages.

That's when I knew I had to interview the creative genius behind this movement.

Enter Ione Butler...

Ione Butler

Ione Co-Founded Unified Soul Theory with Prince EA after she worked with him on one of his viral videos.

When I asked Ione about her motivations behind creating Uplifting Content, this is what she had to say:

“I found it hard to feel positive after watching almost anything on television or the news. I knew I wasn’t the only one who wanted to see inspirational and uplifting content, so that’s why I created Uplifting Content...because the world really needs it.”

She started the page less than a year ago and it has nearly reached the 1 million follower mark.

For me, that’s enough evidence to show that people really do want to see more uplifting content in the world.

In our interview, what I learned about Ione beyond what she’s doing with Uplifting Content really showed me that she has lived a colorful and unique life - as an actress, podcaster, vlogger and much more.

Recently, Ione has made quite a daring decision.

This decision came about after Ione's friend died suddenly in a car accident, which shocked her about the reality of the temperance and fragility of life.

After her friend's death, another friend asked her a powerful question: What would you do if you only had 5 months to live?

She said, "I'd travel with family and friends!"

What would you do if you had 5 weeks to live?

Ione replied with the same answer.

What if you had 5 days to live?

Ione came up with the same answer.

Her friend told her that clearly what she really wants to do in life is travel the world, and that she shouldn't put it off any longer.

Inspired by this conversation, Ione committed to living in the now, like Eckhart Tolle has so famously stated.

And so, she embarked on her travels.

She's already a few days into a 3 month journey throughout South America that's completely based on audience suggestions.

So...if you personally know some great places or activities to do in South America, make sure to participate in this fun experience of guiding Ione on her journey!

Overall, Ione shared her grand vision of Uplifting Content as something to upgrade and evolve mainstream information.

Fortunately, there are other great pioneers in the media space with ambitions like her as well.

Two that come to mind are the teams at Wake Up World and Bright Vibes.

As for now, I’m eager to see more uplifting posts from Uplifting Content!
