There are thousands of reasons not to dunk one's head into a bucket of urine, but a man in Cleveland found 450 reasons to take the plunge.
The man, whose name is "Phil," accepted a bet at a Cleveland Browns tailgate party yesterday that required him to stick his noggin into a nearly full bucket of pee that was gathered from bystanders.
Despite cries of "Don't do it, Phil!" the man stuck to his guns, girded his loins and, as the stream of YouTube videos that immortalized the event demonstrate, became $450 richer -- and the envy of absolutely no one.
The visceral appeal of a grown man dunking his head into urine is undeniable, but DeadSpin columnist Barry Petchetsky is pissed by the lack of information streaming out about the event.
"How many people and how long did it take to fill up a five-gallon bucket with urine? Which poor bastard had to sit next to this guy during the game?" he wrote.
BuzzFeed columnist J.P. Moore, a Cleveland native, admitted the dunk heard 'round Ohio put a damper on what he had hoped would be a good day since the Browns managed to defeat the rival Cincinnati Bengals for their first win of the season.
"Finally a day of moderate pride about something in Cleveland," he said. "But of course I couldn't even get that one nice day, without someone from Cleveland totally Clevelanding the moment."
