Usain Bolt Easily Wins 200 Meters At World Championships

He even eased up at the finish.

It wasn't even close this time. Usain Bolt of Jamaica overpowered American rival Justin Gatlin to win the 200 meters Thursday at the track and field World Championships in Beijing.

The race was tight between the two until the straightaway, when Bolt pulled away to clock an eased-up 19.55 seconds to Gatlin's 19.74, numerous outlets reported. Anaso Jobodwana of South Africa took the bronze in 19.87.

Bolt had defeated Gatlin by just a hundredth of a second in the 100 meters on Sunday. Bolt is the 2008 and 2012 Olympic champion in both the 100 and 200 meters; Gatlin is the 2004 Olympic champion in the 100.

Unlike Sunday's race, this time, there was no contest.

He had a much tougher opponent in an out-of-control Segway afterward.
