USC Football Is Already Catching USA Gymnastics Fever

They’re so ready to see Simone Biles and co. dominate.

The Rio Olympics is right around the corner, with the opening ceremony to be held next Friday ― and these USC football players look like they can’t wait for some gymnastics.

On Friday, the USC athletes turned their football practice into a gymnastics competition. Junior cornerback Adoree’ Jackson was in the middle of it all.

Jackson failed to qualify for the Olympics in long jump after he placed fifth at the NCAA championships in Eugene, Oregon, on June 8. But after watching his impressive triple backflip, it seems maybe he should’ve tried to join the gymnastics team instead.

Jackson first showed off his backflip skills July 21 with an off-the-wall flip. He posted the video to Twitter with the caption, “Didn’t make it to the @Olympics for long jump, but gymnastics... Holla at me.”

Jackson and his teammates must be excited to watch USA gymnastics' powerful team, with athletes such as returning gold medalist Gabby Douglas and new heavy favorite Simone Biles.
