Val Chmerkovskiy: Oprah Is My Ideal 'DWTS' Partner

Val Chmerkovskiy has had less luck on "Dancing With the Stars" than his big brother Maksim, but the professional dancer thinks that could all change in an upcoming season -- if he has the right partner. The lucky dancer of his dreams? None other than Oprah Winfrey. “My ideal partner would be someone with a good work ethic, somebody who is a good person and who knows how to work as a team,” Chmerkovskiy told The Huffington Post at last week’s event for Dr. Scholl’s Sole Space. “You have to be ready to get completely out of your element and for that you need a secure person. I think that is why Oprah would be my perfect partner.” While the media mogul may be at the top of his dancing wish list, there's also someone with whom Chmerkovskiy would like to partner off the dance floor. “I want Charlize Theron to be my partner. But I don’t want to dance with her. I want to take her on a date,” Chmerkovskiy said. “But Oprah would be my partner on the show. I don’t mix business with pleasure … ever.”

Chmerkovskiy competed on "DWTS" this season with another talk-show host, Sherri Shepherd, but they were the third couple to be eliminated.

However, it looks as if the dancing pro will have to wait another season before Winfrey even gets the opportunity to join the show. ABC announced this week it is planning an "all-star" season for the fall.
