'Human Barbie' Allegedly Attacked Outside Her Home

A Ukrainian model whose doll-like proportions have earned her the nickname "Human Barbie" was reportedly attacked by two men outside her Odessa home.

Valeria Lukyanova, 28, said that the men punched her in the face and strangled her outside of her apartment building on Halloween night.

"It happened in a flash. They hit me on the head, several times on my jaw, then one of them began strangling me," Lukyanova said, according to the Daily Mail. "If it wasn't for my neighbor who suddenly appeared, I don't know what would have happened. They saw her and ran away."

In photos published by the website, the model appears to have an injury to her lip, and she's wearing bandages around her head.

Lukyanova, who was released from the hospital yesterday, said she is speaking about the alleged assault to combat rumors that she's undergone more plastic surgery. Despite her extremely thin waist and other exaggerated features, Lukyanova has denied having cosmetic procedures other than breast implants.

She said she has received anonymous threats for two years, but that this is the first time she's been physically assaulted.

It is unclear if the police are involved. Request for comment from Lukyanova was not returned by time of writing.

Apart from the attention she gets over her features, the model has attracted controversy before for saying she's revolted by comments about "race-mixing" and claiming to subsist without food, on light and air alone.
