If you’re not all caught up with “Game Of Thrones,” here is your spoiler warning to click away.

Lord Varys, the Master of Whispers and ardent protector of the realm, met his end during Sunday’s episode of “Game Of Thrones” after Daenerys Targaryen found out he supported her lover Jon Snow’s claim to the Iron Throne.

And while Varys’ little birds may have flown for one final time, people on Twitter could not stop chirping after the character’s death.

Varys’ loyalties have always been to the realm and not to whomever is ruling or desires to rule. He revealed to Daenerys in Season 7 that he “came from nothing” and “was sold as a slave and carved up as an offering.”

“When I was a child, I lived in alleys, gutters, abandoned houses. You wish to know where my true loyalties lie? Not with any king or queen, but with the people,” he told her, before swearing that he wouldn’t conspire behind her back if he ever thought she was failing the people.

Unfortunately, Varys didn’t keep that promise. Daenerys, however, vowed that she would burn him alive if he betrayed her ... and she did precisely that.

Some are mourning Varys and others continue to root for Daenerys, despite her questionable actions. Here’s a snapshot of what Twitter had to say about Varys:
