Want to be Sophie B. Hawkins' lover? We suspect the fastest route to her heart may be to offer her the $3.265 million she and filmmaker Gigi Gaston want for their three-bedroom home in Venice.

Located in Venice, Calif. two blocks away from trendy Abbot Kinney, the two-story "Spanish Romantica" home boasts distinctive details like hand-carved mesquite doors, reclaimed wood floors and a hand-carved marble fireplace. But the most impressive features of the house are the result of the collaboration between Gaston, Hawkins and a local Venice architect.

To accommodate Hawkins' career, the home's three-car garage was converted into a professional recording studio. And in a nod to Gaston's upbringing (she is the daughter of J. Paul Getty's fifth and final wife of 19 years, Louise Dudley Lynch), the home features "museum quality elements" like kitchen tiles inspired by Claude Monet's blue kitchen in Giverny, France and a hand-painted fireplace from one of J. Paul Getty's residences.

Two studio apartments complete with kitchens sit atop the recording studio.

Gaston's first documentary, "The Cream Will Rise" in 1998, centers on Hawkins' early singing career. Gaston's most recent project deals with alleged irregularities that took place during the 2008 Democratic primary race between Hillary Clinton and then-Senator Barack Obama, called "We Will Not Be Silenced."

Hawkins may be best known for her 1992 song "Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover." Her most recent album, The Crossing, was released in February of this year.

CORRECTION: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that the recording studio was built on top of a garage. In fact, the garage was converted into a recording studio.
