For the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, CBS is releasing a new Blu-ray called The Roddenberry Vault. It’s a collection that contains never-before-scene behind the scenes footage from the original show, alternate takes from episodes, and new documentaries about the making of the show. It’s going to be a must-own for science fiction fans everywhere.

In this exclusive clip, special effects legend Richard Edlund, who won Academy Awards for his work on Star Wars and Indiana Jones, talks about how he did the iconic opening titles for Star Trek.

The Roddenberry Vault comes out on December 13th and it is available for pre-order now.
