Marvel has yet to confirm Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, an alien tree, in the studio's upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy" film, but that's just semantics with Diesel around. The dude can't stop talking about his "Guardians" role: "I'm an actor. I can do whatever the [heck] I want," Diesel said when asked by the Los Angeles Times about why he wanted to play Groot. "As an actor, not everything has to be the most obvious choice. And sometimes, the best thing you can do -- as far as Steven Spielberg and his advice -- is to defy expectations."

In keeping with that edict, Diesel filmed himself walking around the set of "Fast and Furious 7" on a pair of mechanical stilts. In the video, Diesel explains that the stilts are part of his motion-capture work for "Guardians of the Galaxy" (Groot, after all, is seven-feet tall). There's some more too: Diesel has fun discussing "Guardians of the Galaxy" with "Fast 7" co-star Djimon Hounsou (he also appears "Guardians"), and then reveals that he only has one line in the film, likely Groot's immortal catch-all phrase, "I am Groot."
