Vince Carter Suspended 1 Game For Elbow To Thunder's Steven Adams (VIDEO)

Vince Carter Suspended

Dallas' Vince Carter was suspended by the NBA for one game without payfor delivering an elbow to Oklahoma City center Steve Adams on Wednesday night.

Late in the third quarter, Adams had the ball under the basket and was blanketed by Carter. Adams' elbow appeared to make contact with Carter's jaw as he passed the ball to Serge Ibaka. Carter quickly retaliated with an elbow of his own to Adams head. After a review, officials called a Flagrant 2 on Carter, resulting in an ejection.

“I just want to apologize to the fans of both sides,” Carter said after the game, via Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News. “There’s no need for it. They’re trying to clean up the game and make it fun for fans to watch. It was one of those things where I got caught in the moment and reacted to a reaction that was done to you. My intentions have never been that way. It’s just one of those things.”
