We've seen some pretty tricked-out hotel rooms in our day, but nothing quite beats these.
Welcome to Montaña Mágica Lodge, a hotel built INSIDE A MAN-MADE VOLCANO in Chile's Patagonian rainforest.
Here, the daily "eruption" is not lava, but rather a magical waterfall trickling down the plant-covered sides of what is quite possibly the biggest fairytale-come-true we've ever seen.
Montaña Mágica (aka Magic Mountain, cuz duh it's magical) has 13 rooms. A swinging rope bridge leads to the man-made structure in the middle of the forest. Trekkers are rewarded with hot tubs carved from tree trunks and a spa with pools and a sauna.
Visitors say the place "looks like a dream house," and we're inclined to agree.
Montaña Mágica Lodge is nestled in the Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve, a protected swath of land under the Andes Mountains in central Chile. When you're not busy being a wood nymph at the hotel, the reserve offers zip lining, forest trekking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Argentina is also not far away, if you feel like country-hopping.
We'll stay right here, thank you very much.
