Watch A Hawaiian Volcano 'Smile' For The Camera

Meet Kilauea, the world's happiest volcano. 😃

New video footage of Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano may have you wondering whether Pixar’s “Lava” is coming to life.

An incredible 360-degree video, captured Thursday by Paradise Helicopters, shows the lava pond inside Kilauea’s Puʻu ʻŌʻō vent erupting into what looks like a face, with huge, glowing eyes and a fiery smile.

Kilauea, located on the Big Island of Hawaii, has plenty of reason to smile. One of the world’s most active volcanoes, it has been continuously erupting for more than 33 years.

If its longevity weren’t enough, Big Island residents and visitors are being treated to an extra dose of magnificent. On Tuesday, after weeks on the move, a lava flow from Puʻu ʻŌʻō vent made contact with the Pacific ― the first so-called ocean entry since 2013.

See the amazing video below. It’s sure to put a smile on your face.
