If you’re from Portland, congratulations, you’re considered a rare breed. However, if you’re a Portland transplant you understand the void for creative spaces in this city. Places such as LA, Chicago, Philly and Miami are just some of the few cities that have thriving and diverse artistic scenes. With so many advertising agencies, large popular corporation and young creatives, a change had to happen.

VSTRS HIGHLIGHTS PORTLAND’S BRIGHTEST + MOST CREATIVE WHILE BRINGING THE FAMILIAR VIBES FROM BIGGER CITIES. OUR GOAL IS TO CHANGE THE SCENE AND MAKE PORTLAND FEEL AT HOME.

VSTRS (vis•i•tors) was “founded by 5 really talented women” and they are here to create Portland a creative playground. Their platform is meant to connect creative for collaboration and inspiration. While holding a few events in 2016such as art shows, 40oz Bounce, and community discussions, 2017 is looking like it about to be even more lit with new and exciting functions. The VSTRS activate on 4 pillars; Creativity, Charity, Inspiration and Celebration. VSTRS is kicking off their relaunch with a one year exclusive partnership with NYX, keep your eye out for monthly events.

The Park is the latest showcase and will be an ongoing instillation that will continue into summer, celebrating the culture of different cities, street basketball, culture, festivals, music an so much more. The first Park installation and party will be kicking off Portland’s design week will be held at NYX in downtown Portland. The ladies of VSTRS want to encourage the public and party goers to partake in the cool workshops, and installations that the city will be offering during this week.

Continuing with The Park theme, of course, basketball will be the main focus with the celebration of the NBA playoffs. Bring your jersey to be signed because some special guests from both the Warriors and Blazers teams will be at the event. Two more special guests will be at The Park, artists from LA and Chicago will be creating a luxury version of the parks we’ve all grown up in.

If you ballin’, swish, you might be able to afford Hommemade’s luxury version of the basketball hoop. Hommemade is a brand that creates luxury basketball hoops made of marble and 24k gold Cuban link chains. Come to The Park to take a closer look at this extravagant hoop.

The second artist playing at The Park is a creative by the name of JuWop, a Chicago artist who we would consider a “VSTR” he just moved to Portland and will be creating custom creations made out of basketballs and sneakers. Here’s a sneak peak of what is coming this Friday at The Park.

Looks like one of our artists @flight_81 is up to something. Can't wait to reveal his installation at "The Park."
