Former NHL player Wade Belak was found dead on Wednesday in a hotel room in Toronto, the Toronto Sun reports. He was 35.
Belak started his career with the Colorado Avalanche and also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators.
He is the third NHL player to die in the last four months.
New York Rangers forward Derek Boogaard was found dead in May at the age of 28. The death was ruled accidental, caused by a mix of alcohol and the powerful painkiller oxycodone.
Winnipeg Jets center Rick Rypien was found dead in his home earlier this month. He was 27.
