Warren Sapp Freaks Out After Cops Tell Him He's Going To Jail

Newly released police interrogation video captures Warren Sapp emotionally breaking down after he learns he'll be arrested for allegedly soliciting prostitutes in February.

The footage, which was obtained by TMZ and published Tuesday, shows the 42-year-old ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle burying his face in his hands and pulling his shirt over his head after Arizona police officers inform him that he's going to jail.

"I'm about to be booked for a John!" Sapp tells an officer at one point, near the end of the clip.

The All-Star defensive tackle lost his job as an NFL Network commentator just hours after news of his arrest broke, Sports Illustrated reported at the time.

Sapp was charged with solicitation and assault after he allegedly tackled a pair of women working as prostitutes, then chased them down the hallway of a Phoenix hotel after the Super Bowl earlier this year. Phoenix police said the altercation was sparked by an argument over money.

In other footage from the interrogation, also obtained by TMZ, Sapp admits he paid to have the women perform oral sex on him. "I put $600 on the table, [then] everybody got naked," Sapp says in the video.

According to Sapp, who didn’t know the women’s names, one woman performed oral sex with a condom while the other one was on top of him. The less-occupied woman “kept talking,” Sapp said, so he asked her, “Why don’t you use your mouth on me, instead of using it?” That apparently made her angry, so she went to the bathroom while Sapp continued to receive a blowjob from the other woman.

Sapp says in the video that he got angry after one of the women asked for a tip, and tells the officer that he chased them out of the room. During a police interrogation, one of the women said she hurt her leg when Sapp tackled both of them.

Sapp was released without bail following his arrest. If he's convicted, he could face up to six months in jail.

In 2010, Sapp was arrested for domestic battery, but those charges were later dropped, according to the New York Post.
