'Warrior': A-Trak, Mark Foster & Kimbra Take On Corrupt Boxing Ring For Converse (VIDEO)

Converse tapped three of music's most buzzy artists for their new campaign track. "Warrior" features disco house producer and Fools Gold Records boss A-Trak, Foster the People frontman Mark Foster and indie it-girl and chanteuse Kimbra.

If you're familiar with the artists, the song (available for download here) sounds exactly how you'd expect. The track could easily fit at home on a new Foster the People album, as Foster's style seems to have dominated the threesome a bit (which isn't a bad thing!). The upbeat song adds Kimbra's smooth vocals and A-Trak's stabby synths to Foster the People-esque claps and vocal accents for an all-around good time.

Converse has also released the video for the song, which we've included below. In the visuals for the track, Foster and A-Trak star as reluctant wrestlers (who end up needing a little help from Kimbra).

The new track comes as something of a relief to Foster, as Foster the People have been touring for over a year on the strength of a single album. "It's going to be fun," Foster told EW about performing the song live. "Especially since Foster the People doesn't have any new material yet to play live. It's going to be necessary to fill our set in."

Making the song also proved to be a logistical mess, as all three artists were touring. Foster the People have maintained an aggressive touring schedule and as one of the dance music's most in demand DJ's, A-Trak (born Alain Macklovitch) also tours relentlessly (and also recently released a new collaboration with Danny Brown and Juicy J). Kimbra, flush with the new celebrity that came with being in Gotye's runaway hit "Somebody That I Used to Know," has also added an impressive slate of performances as of late, including a high profile stop at New York's Terminal 5.

Converse previously commissioned "DoYaThing," by the Gorillaz, Andre 3000 of Outkast and former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy.
