When you're washing your delicates by hand in the sink, you definitely want to make sure they're protected from any lingering residue. We're talking about things like cleaners, toothpaste and beauty products. Luckily, our friends at Real Simple found a great repurposing idea that will keep your dainty laundry safe.

Simply place a colander (yes, the kind you use to drain pasta) in the sink and hand wash the clothes inside of it. The holes allow for proper drainage, while the bowl keeps them out of harm's way. Gretchen Monahan, a style and beauty expert) also says this is a great idea.
